The Blackhide Wrastler tramples through the knocked down Khadoran infantry

Fred Escalona broke out his Gatormen led by Bloody Barnabas for a swing against my Khador force.

I decided to just rush forward and see how the Gatormen force worked.  After Fred had Bloody Barnabas use his Black Tide feat, he forced his Blackhide Wrastler to trample through the knocked down infantry to get to Forward Kommander Sorscha, but miscalculated the placement between the models, missing the half-inch melee range.  Since it was just a fun game, I had him nudge the warbeast closer and allowed him his full complement of attacks.

I'll still count that as a loss for Forward Kommander Sorscha though.  But that first encounter with the Gatormen army will definitely leave me some pointers as to their play style.

Some points I learned:

  • The auto Knockdown feat is still bloody discouraging, regardless if it came from Kreoss or Barnabas.
  • Wrong Eye and Snapjaw has an annoying animus which allows them to move flat out in the open since they can't be shot at.
  • The Gatormen Posse are really hard to bring down!  8 damage boxes!  *Faction envy*

The Gatormen force that Fred used are beautifully painted and the pictures above don't even do them justice! It's always a treat for me to fight against a very nicely-painted army!
