A rushing river is where Kommandant Irusk decided to take his deployment on the outskirts of a small farming village |
I got to play against
Dick Sy's Legion of Everblight force last Wednesday evening at Pitshop.
I decided to use an infantry-heavy list - specifically something with
Iron Fang Pikemen. The reason behind that was: it was only recently that I bought the
P3 Khador token set, and it included some nifty Shield Wall tokens. And since I don't have
Man-O-War Shocktroopers and
Assault Kommandos, the only unit I have that can Shield Wall are my ignored IFP.

Rolling SR2011 Sacrifice, Dick marks his deployment radially from a corner |
|
Irusk's main force rush towards the flag! |
|
After months of sitting on the shelves, the Behemoth redeems itself by blasting away a Shredder with accurate bombard shots! |
|
Irusk's War Dog running alongside its master as the forces of the Motherland advance |
|
Led by Kovnik Jozef Grogorovich, the Winter Guard advance towards the control zone |
|
The Winter Guard Rocketeer priming his artillery in the shallows as a Legion Spell Martyr dares further forward |
|
Deadly ground! Shredders will rush up Irusk's left flank while the Messiah and Typhon blast away the Iron Fangs! |
|
My GF9 tin with the newly-bought Khador tokens; and yeah everyone should always have their own set of D&D polyhedral dice |
Scenario: 35PC SR2011 Sacrifice
Result: Kim's Kommandant Irusk victorious over Dick's Thagrosh, Messiah of Everblight via concede
Thagrosh makes a gamble and orders a pair of
Rabid Shredders run up
Kommandant Irusk's unsupported left flank. After
Typhon incinerates several Iron Fang Pikemen with its multiple breath weapons and vicious attacks, Thagrosh strides forward and fails to his the Khadoran warcaster with a damaging spell. Using his feat, the two Rabid Shredders scurry up at Irusk and bite away, but one made a crucial miss. With no more fury left for damage transfer, Dick's Thagrosh was a sitting duck at the center of some undyingly loyal
Great Bears, Iron Fang Pikemen and
Winter Guard.
