WMH Game 05: Kommander Orsus Zoktavir versus Garryth, Blade of Retribution

I played another WMH game last Saturday at Fortress, Greenhills.  It was against EJ Diaz (isawatsuke) and his Retribution of Scyrah force led by Garryth, the Blade of Retribution.

EJ's plan consisted mainly of pulling off a double Force Lock by running two Gorgons straight towards the enemy caster and Garryth advancing and using his feat, Vortex Lock.  Garryth's charge the following round will then be assisted by clearing the charge lane with the remainder of the infantry.  As a safety precaution, eEiryss will be close by to prevent any tricks you would consider with your warjacks.  It was only a string of bad luck that made the casterkill run fail on Kommander Orsus Zoktavir (plus having eButcher get 7 focus the next round).

I had a solid plan with this list.  It should be played really aggressively and the Feel the Hate should be popped as fast as I could.  The hard hitting MOW Demolishers and Great Bears should be able to take down targets, as well as Widowmaker Sniper shots - all of which will fuel up eButcher's feat.  The Spriggans can trample through infantry and should be in range to bring down the enemy caster with Rage tokens.  Sadly, all that did not work last Saturday.  I had to rely on the inherent toughness of my troops, and probably try and reallocate plans as I saw my models fall left and right.
